Vin number help

Hey guys,
I am a bit worried about the Acura TL tranny since the 2004 is the 1st year model... however since they're selling WDP/5AT/navi/spoiler/splash guard/all sorts of junk (without A SPEC) for $30,100 (OTD $32050)... i decided to take it... I've heard about the later model 2004 is close to 2005... but what VIN # needs to be greater than " ??"

anyway, this vin is 19XXX66214X73017

X = letters

would anybody be able to tell me if this car is early version or later in the year
the car has 18 miles on it.

Picking it up at 5pm EST today, now it's 3:13pm

please help

73017... wow very new one, probably built in Sep.

http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93822

This car is as perfect as new.

Please test drive it.

GREAT price.

04 3.2 4dr Sedan 5AT Navi 34,650 (MSRP) 31,575 (Invoice).

If you like to keep it longer than 4 years, I think this is a good deal. Plus, no tranny recall for this.

Did you get your car at Sussman Acura in Marlton? That is a really good price! I have a WDP too. Vin # ends with A070XXX. I got it on end of August. I just checked the Ownerslink on Acura.com. I do not think we are on the recall list.

Welcome to the forum

You're right with "recall", which only bothers those early VIN, 00001 ~ 14224.

gentlemen,
Just picked up the TL today with that VIN... (templeOwls..I DID INDEED got it at SUSSMAN Acura, very good GUESS(prolly from me listing Marlton NJ)!! BUT I didn't get LUCKY.... they started at 33500 and then 33000, I BARGAINED their ass down to 30,100 after a few hours.. the sales manager finally got tired and said "you are good! take it or leave it at 30,100 and don't argue with me about $100", so I said "i'll take it with spoiler" hahaha
anyway, thanks for all your help guys, I'll be visiting this site very often... the car actually had 3 miles on it.. it's brand new and I'm happy it's late model.

At least they were willing to deal. The first Acura dealer I went to immediately gave me a $1000 "discount" then wouldn't budge a single dollar from that price. What's more, they were going to give me about half of what Edmunds considered a fair trade value for my trade (so much for that "discount," huh?). My trade was in excellent condition too... it even still had a bumper to bumper warranty, so they were guaranteed that it had no mechanical problems.

I told them that they were being ridiculous, and that their "offer" was insulting. They said take it or leave it. I reminded them that there ARE other Acura dealers out there, and they said, "Fine, go there then." (Yes, they actually said that.) Needless to say, I did, and the other Acura dealer was MUCH more accommodating. I still didn't get no $30,100 price though. They won't deal THAT much in my area, since they can't keep the cars on the lot. Most dealers in my area had a list of people interested in the incoming TLs. That is one advantage you people in the "big cities" have over us Smallville types.

I rather spend money for my family than give it to saleman or dealership... and I got all the time in the world to buy a car. Most people doesn't think before they buy, or they buy out of URGE...in any case, it's all good. To each it's own.... it's a lovely car so it's worth it....anyway... I posted my experience of buying an Acura at here

sincerely,
Jeremy
