Skip carfax and go straight to insurance agent. tell them you are interested in purchasing the car and they will run the VIN for you. You will get access to the car's Title history and if any insurance covered repairs were done to it.

When I bought my 02 CL type S Carfax showed it was clean. The insurance company on the other hand knew it was involved in an accident 2 weeks after it was bought and then again in June 2006 just before I got it. Since the dealer had a $500 guarantee on the clean title, I collected and pocketed the $500...

Also, not everyone takes their car to the dealer for oil changes and tire rotations. I wouldn't let those people touch my car that's why I do all my own basic service. So for example if I listed my 07 Type S right now with 8,900 miles. I would technically not be able to reproduce proof of the oil changes I have done. Oh and btw the seller of this 08 Type S does have service history available for any potential buyer to see. Again, it's as simple as contacting the seller.
Anyway, I'm done defending this guys add and car lol. Only reason I'm doing it is because just like when a post was made about mine for sale with 4,900 miles, everyone was yappin about how it must be a scam, all in the mean time I was making arrangements to go buy it. So for potential serious buyers, don't let a deal like this slip through all because some people online think it must be a scam when it's not.
If you want the lowest mileage KBP/ebony Type S available in the country now , this is it.
It's called being skeptical and IMHO rightfully so. it would be very unnerving to buy a car for $24.XXX and find out it was a salvage car, right?

Well yeah, but you would do your homework before purchasing the car, just like any used car. All I'm saying is I'm not sure why people are always so skeptical about clean low mileage vehicles. If anything there is less to be skeptical about since it hasn't racked up a shit load of miles and had a lot more chances of being wrecked.

I wish I had seen this sooner, has it sold? I've got the new car bug and looking to buy within a year. Not selling the TL though. While I want a new car I've been keeping an eye out for a very low mileage 3G, especially a Type S.

It is still for sale. Seller stated that he didn't renew the ad.
