Yes we are waiting for the realease of Motorola V710 hopefully by June, but this summer
Gonna have a hefty price tag for stupid features liek camera, video, memory card......
Just hook the start tac, vader, or v60 up w/ bluetooth and we'd be all set!

Acura should of teamed up with motorola or some other cell phone company and released the TL with a blue tooth enabled phone already installed in the car. Bet this idea comes out down the line.

What's the deal anyway?

I wish I could get a good bluetooth phone without all the useless crap on it. I mean what is the deal with integrating a crappy low res camera onto a cell phone? Do people actually use it? All it does is jack up the price. What a crock. Okay, I will step down off the soup box.

Adapter not even out yet...called Moto and they do not have tech specs on HFL or not...moreace, you seem to have the answer....please provide the details as to why this new bluetooth adapter will not work and will not support hfl ?

Reread the spec sheet:

"Enables owners of Motorola phones without Bluetooth wireless technology to use Bluetooth wireless technology enabled Motorola companion products such as wireless headsets, ...."

So, yes, it supports HFL. However, it may not do a very good job of it.

(1) May not support sending the battery level or signal strength meter to the 04TL MID.

(2) Audio quality may suck, Motorola's intention is to go to a wireless headset.

(3) This would be cumbersome to keep attaching and detaching from the phone a couple of times a day.

(4) Not sure how a power adapter would connect up, but I'm sure there should be something.

Me, I'm going to probably wait for the V710 - it was a product with Bluetooth intentionally designed in and not as an afterthought.

If somebody purchases the DC600, please post your results! We'll all be interested!

I believe the software of part of the HFL that is required must driectly be integrated into the phone as it uses so many features. Not all bluetooth phones even with HFL work on the TL, it must be a certain version of HFL. I am going on the basis of a thread from a while ago when this product was first announced where some members who are very knowledgeable in this matter said no way in hell it would work. I believe it is available, just very expensive at $200. WHen it is really in stores it should be slightly under $50. I know it is bulky, but a simple fix to leave in the car that could be used on longer road trips. It's too bad. I could be wrong as could the other people, actually hope I am.
