Valvoline Durablend?

Anybody using Valvoline Durablend? I found this online at Avanced Auto Parts/Parts America for $.95 quart. What do you think?

I use it, car runs perfectly fine..no issues here. I use the 5W-30 though, cause i couldn't find any in 5W-20 in my local auto stores. It's not as good as full synthetic obviously...but a lot cheaper. I might switch over to full synthetic eventually though...but so far so good=)

I'd spend the extra cash and go Amsoil ($8quart) or Royal Purple ($5quart) 5w30

It's probably OK to use. I'm one of those people that feel that oil is probably oil for the most part.

You can run all the tests you want, and show how much better synthetic is than conventional, but I've never heard of someone's car breaking down or the engine dying prematurely due to the oil AS LONG as you keep the vehicle maintained.

But - after stating my personal opinion about oil quality - I personally use Mobil1 5-20. For the few bucks extra a couple times a year, better safe than sorry. And I didn't spend all my wad on a nice car so I can skimp on the rest.

Ask yourself this - Are you one of those people that put regular 87 octane in your car, or do you put in the premium 91 or 92 "because your supposed to?"

I put in premium...
