Thinking about adding a Vafc controller to my TL Type S 07. Has anyone done this mod? any gains losses? I know the 2G tls have done this not sure if any of the 3rd genners have. I did a search and no real info on this mode came up really.

well u def gain great power n control....but theres no point unless you have intake n exhaust done to the car and extra air mods as well....spacers... porting... etc. I just got the VAFC2 from apexi and i believe that and the NEO are the only ones compatible but you need dyno tuning when its installed....you can drive the car around no prob in monitoring mode but you have to set the controller up properly so it only monitors as opposed to control....plus id recommend a boomslang harness for the controller....i asked them to make me one and its 180$ so it'll be a pretty penny including tuning....300-450 for the controller 150 for tuning n close to 200 for harness....max out of pocket...800$

 

Ill be back in NY to tune the car this week so ill post up some updates.

 

I have the APEX I will boomslangs harness work with that one?? where are u getting ur car tuned in NYC??
