Same here! I was like oh crap!

 

If they decide to repair the damage and put the car back on the road, I wonder what the incident will look like on a CarFax.

 

Wow. If that's a 6MT the driver should be publicly drawn and quartered for damaging such a great car. How many Blue Type-S 6MT's were made? 12 or something? It's a Unicorn.

 

If there were 12, I will hold onto mine forever!

 

yes KBP limited production is 12 unit, 12 out of 1000 that is.

I came from a small town in CT and there are 6 Type S total including mine.

1 NHBP
1 CBP
1 ASM
2 KBP (one with two tone seat and the other with taupe)
1 MRP (mine)

 

Wow! 12 KBP per 1000! man I hope this unicorn is able to be repaired I agree with horseshoez! I really wonder how that would look on Carfax.

any facts to back this? I was apart of other threads where they were tryin to get exact or round about numbers of the KBP rarity and we came up with nothin, now I know it's rare but we just don't know how rare. If your numbers are right Ima keep mines forever like the posters above said. And I wasn't tryin to be a dick and start a argument just wondered if u had credible info?

 

To be honest I just throw a random number out there, yes I know for years acura decided the production number is classified, I remembered for the CL they give out each color paint and with or without navi production number. Eg I THINK the production for a 03 blue ABP MT with navi is around 3500 units.

 

I was totally joking. Guess I should have used red text. I'm sure they're rare considering the quantity of 1. KBP (maybe <10%?), 2. 6MT (1 in 30 is what I've heard. That's about 3%) and 3. Type-S. Not sure the % on that. Maybe 10%-15% of 2007/2008 TL's?

 

Oh ok was just wondering, I'm in love with my KBP and the body style and color were ahead of there time in 2007-2008 car still looks good on the road today. But whoever car that is, the fence along the bridge saved their life.

 

There was a thread that tried to determine KBP 6MT production numbers (aka how many unicorns exist out there) and I went through the entire thread and basically the conclusion came when someone actually called Acura corporate and straight up asked the question (or it may have been email...) but basically Acura had an official response which was that the production numbers to that level of specificity is a corporate secret and that was that.
