V-LEDs SALE !!!
V-leds is having another sale for those of us who missed out on the black friday sale they had. The sale starts "now" and will end Wednesday 14th @ 11:59pm EST..
No promo code needed, the discounted items will be in red. I don't think shipping is free though. Merry Christmas..

So to those who have been around longer than myself, how often do these sales typically happen? The last LEDs that I'm looking for are the reverse lights:

The sale on these isn't all that great at the moment, and I would probably rather use the money for an amp kit to wire up my sub, so I was just wondering if another sale is likely in a few weeks or a month.

thanks for the heads up! One of the license plate LEDs that came with my last order wasn't working, so this is easier than hassling with RMA/shipping. ![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
PS - for whatever reason I could not use their checkout on Firefox 8. (Had to switch to IE9

The sale on those LEDs are 30% off. $34.99 for those LED reverse lights are a killer deal, I don't understand why you don't think it's "isn't all that great". If that's how you feel than you are better off spending that money on a amp kit, but I'm telling you that those LEDs are usually priced at $50. With a 10% off code (they give these out on facebook maybe once a month? Sometimes even 20% off, but more likely 10% than 20) those bulbs still go for $39.99-$44.99.
Those reverse lights are cheaper than JLC Lighting CREE-LED Reverse lights ($39.99), and IMO better. I have the CREE LED Reverse Lights in my car right now. Although the CREE LEDs are very bright, what bothers me is the fact that they are directional. They point straight and only light up straight, rather than the whole reverse light housing. Because of that, when I back-up at night using my back-up camera on my navi, it displays a huge white hot-spot smack dab in the center of the nav screen. The areas to the left and right are still dark and hard to see, while the center of the screen is so overwhelmingly bright that it's still somewhat hard to see.
These V-LED reverse lights look perfect. They are 360 style so they light up the whole reverse light housing, and therefore on the nav screen it will not show any hot spots of white. It evenly lights up the area just like regular halogen bulbs do.
I've been wanting to buy them, but $50 is way too much to spend on bulbs. Now that they are on sale for only $35 I'm buying them for damn sure. Just sayin'

These "up to 50% off" sales are not too often. Black friday, christmas... Can't really think of any other holidays that they put their LEDs on up to 50% off.

And I definitely agree with you on these being the right bulbs, I'd looked into it enough to know that these would be the ones to get if I'm getting them. I saw the picture you posted of your CREE bulbs, and I can see what you're talking about with the hot spot in the middle.
I have a feeling I'll end up ordering these too, to complete my 5K lights. Got em in the fogs, full interior, license plates, might as well get these to finish it off.

What you said was part of what I was looking for, whether or not seeing these at 30% off is all that unusual or not. I've only been on the forum for a few weeks and seen the sale twice, so I was just trying to get a feel for if it was a common thing or not.

Honestly, I just think you joined acurazine at a perfect time to see those two sales. I've been a member since Jan of 2011 and from Jan 2011 to Dec 2011 I've only witnessed two V-LEDs discount sales, and that was black friday and now this early christmas one.
Anything in between Jan 2011-Nov 2011 was just 10%-20% discount codes. So IMO these "Up to 50% off sale" is not that common. You just happened to join the website right on time lol.

Well Viet, that convinced me. I figured I was likely just coming around the same time as the major sales, but just wanted to find out for sure from you guys. I just put in my order for the back-up lights, so I guess I don't need to worry about their next sale anymore as I think I have all the LEDs I need now. Looking forward to these lights, they should make a nice difference when I'm backing up.

and the difference between the two on my navi back-up camera at night is a NIGHT and DAY difference! Makes my back-up camera look like it freakin has night-vision now. I can see everything behind my car clearly with no hot spotting at all compared to my old JLC bulbs.
It disperses light in just all the right places that help out a bunch on the nav screen. No dark spots anywhere at all. I like them ALOT better than the JLC Cree's when it comes to using it with the back-up camera!
Not to mention the JLC Crees were 6,000k and had a bluish/purplish hue to it. I wasn't really too fond of that... The V-LEDs on the other hand are 5k white and I love the look of PURE WHITE. More usable and cleaner looking!

Do you have a navi? I recently switched from CREE LED
to V-LED ![](http://a763.g.akamai.net/7/763/1644/4/app.infopia.com/img/image/fp/VPID/9507296/size/250)

I don't have a reverse camera or navi ): I just bought the reverse LED's to complete my 6K VLED changeouts, but the reverse lights are extremely bright..
I'm not sure if I want to be blinding the poor people behind me as I back out.

LOL you are too naiive.... Honestly if it were me, I wouldn't give a fuck. If it's too bright for them than they can just stop what the hell their doing and let me back up and get on my way. If they decide to stare into the reverse light to blind themselves while i'm backing up than that's their own damn fault. They should just turn their head the other direction and wait until I'm done reversing.
That's just me though.

Decayin >> I guess you never drove in front of an idiot who has high-beams on and is blinding you through out the drive? Nothing annoys me more than those knuckle heads...
I used to let them pass me on the road and then I would do the same to them, just to show them how annoying that feels. I still do that with my 4G TL, but the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra doesnt have the same effect as the HID did.... I miss my 3G TL for having the HID High Beams....
