V.LEDs Reliability Issues

All;

I replaced all of the stock interior and exterior lights of my 07TLS with comparable V.LED's products based on the recommendations of this forum. I've had them all installed for a little over a year. So far 2 of them have died on me while the trunk one intermittently works. It's very difficult to change out the trunk one as I am sure you are all well aware.

I am quite displeased by the reliability of these products. Does anyone have their phone#? I went to their website and it only has an email form to complain.

While I love the look of the LED's they are not worth the associated reliability issues. I also spoke to my Acura dealer about this and he says everyone he knows have had similar reliability issues with aftermarket LED products

If you call them, they'll probably be willing to replace the non-working LED's for free.

I have had nothing but good luck with my Vleds on my TL, F150 and Toyota's. Email them and see what they will do for you.

I ordered all the parts from V-leds.com. I said comparable meaning they were compatible with the stock parts of my Acura.

I emailed them and they pointed me to their warranty page which I am still uncertain if that means they will replace them or now since its been a year. I realize these aren't the most costly items but man they should have better reliability than this!

I had a bad experience with V-LED's. the 7443 Type 2 Switchbacks didn't switchback right and one of the license plate 194 LEDs didnt work either. When I returned them for simply amber corner bulbs (7443), I wasn't issued a credit but rather another checkout link to pay for my exchange even when the bulbs I was exchanging for cost less. I was also charged shipping again. I asked for a 2nd set of License Plate LEDs with the $10 extra credit, but he simply wouldn't acknowledge the add on. He also wouldn't adjust the pricing on the new items with the promo code I had used initially which was still valid. After several bitter emails between V-LEDs and me, the jackass shipped me short 1 pair of LED plate lights to compensate for the $10 difference that he rightfully believed I shouldn't get back and never acknowledged. He ignored the subject and only answered certain questions/complaints...never answering the questions I really wanted answers to.

Unfortunately, V-LEDs is one of the few stores that carries interesting LEDs. On the bright side, the LED's after being replaced work fine. Sometimes the 7443 corner stops working until I wiggle the bulb around. The Licence Plate LED's only work when they're slid in 1/2 to 3/4 way in. This is something you do once and forget about.

Having no contact phone number is deliberate. He simply doesn't want to deal with Warranty Claims and only does 'selective' reading of his customer emails.

My switchbacks from Autolumination.com just burned out and need to order new ones. I was going to try V-Leds this time, but maybe not now....

I ordered V1 switchbacks from them after my other ones from autolumination burned out.

One of them was bad when it arrived. They told me to by another set and send the old ones back when the new ones arrived and upon arrival they would refund my credit card.

I did that and two days later they sent me an email sayin that they processed my return and that an update would be sent in 24-48 hours.

Well, No update or refund showed up. It has been 2 weeks. After me emailing them, They finally sent me an email today saying that they processed my refund and to check with my bank.

So I don't really know If they mean that they processed way back when they were supposed to, or if they just did it. Only time will tell I guess cuz there is still no refund.

A big pain in the ass for switchbacks tho.

I have some 7w rear turn signals and I noticed that the same two LEDs on the end are out on EACH one. I'm assuming they were that way when I got them and just didn't notice. I emailed them but it had been over a year so didn't expect them to do anything.

Other than that all my v-leds are going strong and it's been 2 years now.

I've rocking V-LED's for 6 months, no complaints here, you must of gotten a bad batch or installed wrong or too roughly.

I was very careful with the install and had Acura do the trunk install since I wasn't able to get the cover off and feared damaging the car. I don't do things half-assed so no it wasn't an install issue. I suspect there is a problem in the PWB, likely a cold solder joint since they go between working and not working at any given time.

Please PM me his e-mail too. I wrote to V-LED's last night about a question on their switchbacks. They haven't written me back, so I ordered new switchback bulbs from AutoLumination.com
