V-LED Switchbacks Have Purple Tint
Alright, so my v-led switchbacks have a purple tint....
I have 8000k's right now and they dont really match at all.
I am going to either do one of the following based on some feedback
1) get different switchbacks that dont have a purple tint
2) get vleds 6000k bulbs that have a purple tint with them.
Anyone have either of the above? Its real important that these match for me.

it's me, Alan Rickman.
Pics would greatly help... But you may not find an exact match as we're talking about LEDs and a lamp that ignites gas to produce light.

6000k bulbs are going to be LESS purple than 8000k. You'll need to go higher than 8000k to get a purple hue from the bulb. Check this diagram:
The best thing you can do is get a new set of switchbacks from another website and see if they match better. While you are at it I would get a set of 6000k bulbs. I have a set and they flow pretty well with the switchbacks.

The thing with LEDs is that the composition of the phosphorous will drive the color more then anything...I've have 6cd LEDs that will be pure white, purple white, and blue white...it's an absolute crapshoot and you're at the mercy of the bulb manufacturer, which I am guessing do not go to crazy with QC from the suppliers.
V-LEDs is doing something that is quite unique, and much needed In a market such as this, and that’s making a color specific bulb. This is accomplished by working with the LED supplier to ensure a certain P composition. GL with your efforts, but unless the supplier SPECIFICALLY states a Kelvin rating, it’s anyones guess as to what you will receive.
