I called the dealership and asked them what made the car so expensive. He had asked me if i was familiar with the TlS...I told him that I knew alittle about it. He went on to tell me that the car has an A-Spec body kit, 18" A-Spec rims, Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel and there was nothing more that you could put onto it from the factory. I told him that I agreed the car has a lot of options , but your pricing is a little high. He then said hold on, next he proceeds to tell me that the car can be mine for 36,900 + +. He also told me that the car was brand new even though it has 3,400 miles on it. I told him the car is used(lets face it, the car is used....if it had 25 miles or less I would consider it new. His last comment was..."there are no TLS's like this anywhere, it is truly one of a kind"...He is a little confused to say the least.

Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel??? I don't notice a difference from the pics... what a joke...
and it's a demo too... when they say it's "brand new," you should offer a "brand new" price.

I'm not surprised at all. I think we all have dealt with dealerships in our lifetime, and we all know that dealers think they know every damn thing about the car and know way more than us "customers" would ever know. Have you seen how much they charge for A-Spec accessories at the dealerships? They charge like $3600 for the A-Spec rims/tires LOL. I don't think the $46K is a typo at all, they're just assholes.
I purchased my '04 from Niello Acura in December, and I've been quite happy with them as a whole. $47k USD is definitely out of this world. Maybe it's reverse psychology... Have people call up inquiring upon the price, then drop the price 10g to make them look like their flexible. lol... I don't know. I was quite happy with the deal I inked with them a couple months ago.

The two records you are pointing to could be when the vehicle was manufactured and shipped to the original dealer, or when the first odometer reading was reported...
Let's not assume... you know what that can do.

Heck the carbon fiber steering wheel is a $368 extra. Even with all those "extras", a brand new Type S with all the add-on's shouldn't cost that much. Let alone a car with 3,400 miles on it. The $36,900 is closer to the ballpark, but still shouldn't cost that much with that many miles on it. Maybe if it's a full Aspec kit with wheels, suspension-the whole kit. Make him a counter offer and see if they'll bite....everyone is trying to sell cars these days.

Guys this car is def. worth more than 40k. It has a custom Acura twin-turbo with a custom Acura intake along with NOS. This baby goes over 400HP, add a little NOS we're hitting nearly 600HP. This thing is a beast, BUY IT GREAT PRICE!

Anybody else dealt with Niello? RedVoodoo says he had a good purchase experience with them. When I was looking for mine, Oxmoor Acura in Louisville had the highest asking prices in North America--truly--so I bought mine in Cincinnati, which has two Acura dealerships and proves that Adam Smith was right about competition. But--I've had all my service done at Oxmoor and have had only good experiences. You can't judge a whole dealership by what one guy in plaid pants puts on the internet. If I had a car to sell I'd rather start the haggling at 47K than 36K. I didn't notice when the ad was posted, but have you driven by a car dealership lately? A Chevy dealership I pass every day has 3 new Corvettes covered with snow out front, and they've been there for weeks along with a huge lot full of new cars and trucks that also have undisturbed snow all over them. These days Niello may need to get 47K for a used car to keep the lights on!
Hey between this dealer and the person in this post

We need to edit Wikipedia then. I looked for anything newer than a 2006 when doing a cursory look for the car in a manual but couldn't find it until I came onto here. Wiki says Acura dropped the MT after 2006 because only 1 out of 40 were made with a manual.
Ok, I'll modify: Anything which isn't a manual tranny on this car is worthless to me.
