Hello helpful people! I'm relatively new to this forum and am a prospective first time Acura owner. Looking to get into a 2007-2008 TL or TL-S for $6-7k. I don't have enough history with this model to trust myself (have owned Civic/Accord/CRV in the past) fully yet. So I'm turning to y'all.
I'm looking at a 2007 Type-S with 179k miles. AUTO trans. Dealer is asking $5,900.
Carbon Bronze Pearl (pretty sure)
Verified CarFax 1-owner vehicle, serviced 90% at the same Acura dealership every 5k miles (give or take). Clean CarFax.
Used car lot could not confirm whether the timing belt was done, I am planning to call the dealership. Obviously this is a big one.
Exterior looks great. There was a dent in the rear driver's side quarter panel that was apparently popped out, there is no trace of it at all.
Both front seats have minor rips; pretty worn
Center console lid is missing; yep, it's just not there. The hinge is there with nothing attached to it.
Hood struts don't work anymore
New battery, A/C charge.
I took it out on a test drive and it felt pretty bumpy to me. Not sure if that means tires (7/32 left all around), suspension (see images below) or something else?
Front shocks/springs seem newer, rears could be original.
Pressure switches have not been changed.
I'd definitely want to get leather seat covers (500 ish) a center console lid (free or $250) and do the pressure switches ($200 or so).
Is offering $5000 unreasonable?

Trust me...if a used car dealer is asking 5900....they probably got the car for WAY less than $5000. I wouldn't offer 5000 for that car in that condnition, honestly.
Just as an example. My wife sold her Focus to Carmax for $5000, and they re-listed her car for $11,999 a couple weeks later....yeah, that's the level of markup you're dealing with.

Have more pictures of the whole car? I'd assume they got the car for about 4k. They probably wont go less than 5k. Looks like an average undercarriage from where I live
