Hey guys just need some quick advice and some opinions.
Like the title States it's a 05 white tl with 117xxx seller wants 8k it's neg, water pump and timing belt done recently. Carfax is rated 96% with a minor accident in the rear which was repair. Tan leather which looks like it's in good condition. Looking to get the car for under 7k... Honestly deal if everything comes out correctly? Of course I'm gonna have someone test drive and look at the car from top to bottom before I make me choice.

 

I was in the exact same boat as you. Make sure you have proof of the timing belt and water pump being done or else you have to consider them not done. The guy selling it to me couldn't tell me with 100% certainty that it was done so I got the price down to 6.8k to compensate for that plus stab links, front pads and an upper table that were junk. Other than that check for oil consumption (watch exhaust tips) and tire wear.

 

Check tire treadware also...could mean bad alignment or blown bushings.....also easy way to check broken motor mounts is to have owner put car in drive or 1st with brake pedal pressed and lightly press on the gas. Motor will tilt if the mounts are broken which is another pain to replace
