UPGRADING from TSX

as far as i know, most K series engines burn oil. I have quite a few friends with civic SI's and none of them can tell me their car doesnt burn any oil. It's just kinda accepted that's how the engine is. The more you hit VTEC, the more it'll burn. It shouldn't be anywhere near 1L/1000km like OP, but most ppl I know do top off between oil changes

I was surprised by the CR statistics for 2007+ electronics as well. The 2006 seems to be a solid vehicle based on my experience so saving 3K might not be a bad idea if you're on a tight budget. The other advantage is the 2004-2006 models have a slightly stiffer suspension so they handle a little better. I still have no regrets on getting the 06 over the 07. I just modded to have the switchblade key the other week which was another nice feature the 07's gave you, but that is fixable too.

Hey guys, thanks you all for the responses. Some good news about budgets.
Over the last 2 months, I have increased my budget to $18,000, and I have decided to purchase a 06-08 Lexus is 350 with 90-110k km instead.=)
