Upgrading stock fogs to a white-blue with pictures
I would really like to upgrade the yellow disgusting fog lights to a whiter (or a tint of blue) light. I have used silverstars in the past, but have not used them with HID's. Im not looking for a HID foglight kit.
Please correct me if im wrong, but I have a 04 tl and believe the foglights are 9006, the the corner lights inside the headlight behind the plastic amber piece is 168?
I am looking foward to soon clearing and blacking my headlights out, and would like to get this done.
Please post pictures of your aftermarket foglights with HID's on so I can see how white they are. Also please post what foglight bulb you have

Here's some info to get you started, just to hold you over until someone whose done it posts...

These are HID fogs on a 3series. Very bright in person and 100% pure white. Almost like an LED

thanks, but I wasnt really looking for the hid fog kits. I was looking to see if someone has cheap blue lights or some silverstars in with pictures so I can see which one is the whitest with a tint of blue.

I was in the same boat as both of you. I went through 2 pairs of bulbs, neither provided me the color, nor the light output I wanted. I also went through the trouble of installing a yellow glass capsule inside the headlamp...at the end, patience is the key. Have the patience to save up a little more, and you will be more than happy with the results. After all, it is a TL, so why not put some quality products on there rather than hid-look a likes. Plus, you will have a much better night driving experience.
