Upgrade with problems???

So I'm still currently in Afghanistan. When I get back to the states I plan to sell or trade my 03 TL so I would be able to get the 07-08 type-s 6mt. I've been wanting it for a long time now, but I'm not so sure because of the clutch. Now I know most of you have had the clutch problem. My question is, after you fixed the clutch is the problem still occurring? and did you buy an OEM clutch or did you upgrade?

What clutch problem?

I don't keep up with the MT's as much, but I don't recall an on-going, systemic clutch problem.

a properly driven clutch can last the life time of the car.

improper techniques will result in death of clutches.
with that being said, it all depends on how the previous owner drove.

now you might be inquiring about the 3rd gear pop out/grind...
the tranny and gears is a completely different component than the clutch.

we have a fix for the 3rd gear grind/popout.
Drain the MTF and use GM syncromesh friction modified

Yes, Im out of Lejeuene. And yes i am talking about the 3rd gear grind. After you fix that does it continue to happen? Has anyone had an issue with it again?

If you let Acura/Honda fix it, or follow their instructions, you'll have problems again sooner or later.

If you do what Justin said, you're good to go.
