Updated navi disk??
With your ignition switch turned ON (Engine doesn't need to be running), go to your trunk and eject the Navi DVD. I think the current version is 3.30F.
Even if you have a newer version, don't expect many database changes. None of the newer roads I want/need were added in the last update a few months ago. Expect a 1-2 year lag between the Navi database and your current reality.

I received a notice from Acura via snailmail that Acura DVD NAV UPDATE DISC V2.11C ($185) for non-voice recognition Acura navi systems is now available. The major change for this update is the inclusion of non-verified roads in the database, which are already included in 04 systems.
The notice refers you to www.acuranavi.com. From that page, you can enter your car's year/model info to see the most current version. Disc 3.30F is the most current version for all 04 Acura navi systems, regardless of model.

So on my brand new TL w/Navi, there are major roads in my area that have been there well over a year, yet they don't show up on the Navi display. I guess there's nothing to do about this? If you order the next updated disk I guess there's no way of even telling if these roads were added?
It seems that there should be some way of finding out what the heck the updates are before you plop down $185 for a new DVD...

To look up version info for any Acura navi system, click this link . Enter your car's year and model from the drop down lists at the top of the page, and he site will supply current version info and an order form to purchase an upgrade for $185 plus shipping. Just below the version is a link to get detailed coverage information.
Here is the link to the coverage page.

Wow, that's pretty vague. It's just lists what cities it covers. There's no way to tell when parts of a city would be added. In my opinion then without anyway of really telling what is getting updated, it would make any sense to buy a new DVD any more than once every 2 years.
