Update on my post divorce car serch! suggestions.

Well guys i've been serching High and low for a Z06 or CTS-V. Found sevral, but i made the desicion to just keep the TL. Its only got 43k and its still a very sexy car. I only owe 9k on it. I put 10k down when i bought the car a year ago, and might make 50% of that back. I think its the smarter route than to just put my self farther in debt.

So any body have some ideas for some tasteful mods. I'm not the money man right now, but i'm looking for some effective ways to make the car look sexier. I''m going with rims here in the next year i think.

PS: i have been looking at a 01 harley dyna wide glide by buddy would sell me for 5k. Hes got 4 and just wants to unload one of them. Hes a fellow firefighter and would hook me up!

Best decision!

Check out the Photo Gallery forum in 3G TL to look at cosmetic mods, and Wheels, Tires... for suspension-related suggestions.

like others said,

Cosmetics:
ASpec Lip Kit
Possible Roof Spoiler and/or decklid spoiler (lip or wing)
Tints
Change up of Grill (see grill threads)
Lower fogs

Suspension:
Aspec Suspension for 3/4" drop
or
Tein Basic or SS for more drop
or
Koni/Neuspeed with choice of springs

Exhaust
ATLP Base for subtle sexy look - oval, rectangular tips
XLR8 for a change of pace look - round tips (still sexy)

What rims are you thinking about?

Have you thought about losing the door moldings? Really takes away from the car's lines IMO.

Look in the BM and try and find some used parts for cheap. You can get luckey and find an aspec kit for cheap, maybe upgrade the tails, get the deck spoiler and aspec rims and drop.

I kind of like them to be honest....buuut there a little discolored so that might be a viable option. How would u remove them?

BTW i debadged the rear today, besides the A. Looks reallllly good! I'm thinking this is the way i'm going to go in this order
Tinted or TYPE-S tails
Tinted windows ( maybe ) va state law makes it almost worthless to even try
Drop kit.
A-spec kit
Rims - i love the RJS

First thing I did when I picked up my 07 TL-S was peel off the side mouldings.
The car looks much better with them off hands down!!!! They are not as bad on cars like the Accord but on the TL they just look awkward and randomly slapped on.

Peel them off you will be happy you did when you see it afterwards ;-)

Perhaps black vinyl the top. New rims is a must. Consider some interior mods as well, such as LED lighting.
