Update on driver's airbag light

My driver's airbag light came on a little more than a month ago and I couldn't figure out why. At that point it had about 2k on it. I brought it to the dealer this Wed. and they couldn't find out what was wrong with it until I called to check on it again today. It turns out that I had a faulty airbag sensor, which won't be in until Monday. What puzzles me is that it took them 2 days to come to this conclusion. Hopefully I'll have my baby back Mon. afternoon. I've been driving in a KIA Sorento for the past couple of days because Acura was out of loaner cars.

Did the SRS light come on and stay on or was it a one time thing? I had mine come on 3-4 times last week but it would not be on the next time I started the car. I took it to the dealer this Monday and they ran the diag code, said there was a failure but couldn't give a specific cause. I didn't want to wait for the module and have the chance the car would be damaged in by the installation. I haven't seen the light since last Friday but if it comes on again I'll take it to the dealer to replace the control module.

My SRS light appeared after I put on my seatbelt and stayed on throughout the day. It's been like that for almost 2 months now. I hope they don't hack up my baby replacing it. I'm a bit worried after reading the horror stories some have experianced at the dealership. At least it wasn't because of the remote starter install.

Great news!!! The dealer found the part today. He fixed the problem and I got my baby back in one piece. I didn't realize how nice the car was until I got it back and drove it again today. What a great car!!!

Just a helpful word of advice for anyone with an SRS light coming on:

Get it checked ASAP. The airbags WILL NOT deploy in the event of an accident. The car should be considered unsafe to drive. Honda and Acura strongly urge their dealers to suggest to customers the car should not be driven until it is repaired.

How about rear wheels problem? The car should be considered unsafe to drive or not?
