Only the 6MT with Brembo brakes have painted black calipers.

G2 Paint

http://leatherz.com/Merchant2/mercha...gory_Code=Mini

Dips
Check out this site or do a search for G2 Paint system. I have used it on an S2000 and also painted the calipers on an acure TL and they came out great! They resist the high temps and the paint is exetremely durable.

I`ve got the 6MT and painted the rears with VHT brake and caliper paint. Just clean the calipers with a little Fantastic or similar, and just spray on the paint. No step by step hassles with other brands.

you can't they are different brakes, the 6MT are brembos and have a large surface on the front for the words "Acura". if you take a look at your brakes there is a very limited about of space to print any lettering.

If you go to www.decalgirl.com they will make any kind of decal for you calipers. They use high temp. stuff so it won't melt under the extreme tempatures.

JJCS turned me on to plain old rustoleum brush on paint from Home Depot( $3.49 for the small can which is 10 times more than enough for all four) and it worked great! I prepared them by using a dremel on them and then washing them real good with denatured alchohol.

I let them dry for 24 hours and then drove. I think the heat from the brakes cured this paint really well because it is very hard and does not scratch easilly. I have sprayed it with a high pressure sprayer numerous times now and it doesn't affect it. It looks as good as any powder coat I've seen. All the brush marks leveled out and are non-existent.

Since I don't have digital camera, I am waiting for the good old fashion Kodaks to come back and I will scan and post them.

I'm not sure at all. I just saw the auction listed. I would guess for production sake that the wheels are all the same, but the proportioning valve, ABS settings and stuff may be setup different. Hopefully someone with more experience that knows will read the thread. If they weren't much more than $1K I would consider putting Brembos on, but I don't think they're clear my wheels is they stick out much farther than the regular ones. I can barely get my finger between my new wheels any my stock calipers as it is.

I'd love to see Brembo release a matching set of rear calipers for the 6SP MT!

i think the rotor hub might be different on the 6MT, if you can barely get your finger between the caliper i dun think the brembos will fit. i have a 6MT and the brakes are pretty big, absolutely no space. so if the brembos are larger(which i believe they are) its probably not going to fit in an AT.

So I take it, its just a simple tape-off job to get down to the exposed areas you want to paint?
