Angry Unkind people

After leaving my 10 day old car parked outside on the street for an hour or so while i was shopping, some bastard clipped the driver's side mirror. Not broken but damaged nonetheless. Anyone know the rough costs to get it replaced? and should I do it at the dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Dont let it get to you, they probably did it because they were jealous of your new beauty. They wanted to give it a touch of their yugo.

You can price the mirror at

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/

They show $186 per mirror (for R or L of course). List price is $217. Install of course would be extra.

Yeah, that's happened to me twice. My 98 Maxima left door mirror had to be painted, which added another $86 to the bill. My 96 Accord left door mirror could be ordered in the correct color.

Haven't heard of it happening much here in Atlanta. Where are you located? Your streets must be narrow.

this is one of the reasons why i try to park in between two empty slots as much as possible when i drive my TL. I also never park beside big trucks or ugly looking cars. I don't really care if i park far just as long as i know that my baby will be safe ......

If list is $217, and acuraautomotive parts sells for $186, then it would seem like $250 is too much.

The installation cost may be a little high. I don't know the labor costs in your area so it might not really be out of line. You could ask them to show you the flat rate manual for body labor and see what it says.
