Is the underside of the trunk lid supposed to be painted?

So I got rear-ended a while back and had a new trunk lid (amongst other things) put on.

I have an AM TL. Is the underside of the trunk lid supposed to be painted the same as the outside? I know that there is the cover for most of it, but just wondering if it should have been sprayed all the way on both sides with the AM paint.

This might be a stupid question, so apologies in advance. I never paid attention to this stuff until having a bad experience at this shop. Had to take it back four times and it's still not right. I give up at this point, but they obviously cut corners. And I don't remember all the details of what the car was like originally when it comes to the inside of the trunk... In hindsight I should have taken pics of the damage to document it.

Thanks in advance...

The same metallic AM as on the outside, or a duller version?

What I have is like a dull AM (not shiny and non-metallic) on the underside of the trunk lid.

I don't know about AM, I never owned silver anything.. but I'm on my NBP and WDP, same as outside, your entire car is done this way, except the underneath the trunk lining where the donut sits, but the trunk lid 100% is painted on the inside as the rest of the car..., same as your hood, remove the lining, you'll see same paint as outside...

In your case, the AM paint is a 2 stage paint, he probably only did one.. didnt do the clear coat.

My car has never been hit. My trunk is just as shiny as the outside. Hope this pic helps you.

MAN! Looks like I will be taking the car back for a FIFTH time! By the way, never get your car fixed at Pohanka Body and Collision in Chantilly. I have nothing but bad things to say...
