normal, if you are use to 3000 mile oil change this might seem like its not working. but most modern engines can last alot longer than 3K even on regular engine oil. people have reported first oil changes anywhere from 3K ish to 6K.

Sounds about right. That's on track for about a 5K change.

I just hit 600 and mine went to 90% as well. What would be the basis of your oil anxiety?

I am going to change the oil at 5k, so why worry? I thought this kind of car is supposed to make the "driving experience" less stressful? I just finished my 3rd reply on whether taking the auto tranny out of gear at a stoplight will hurt anything - relax. Take a deep cleasning breath - exhale. Ahhhh.

Are you going to follow the MiD, or your own service schedule? I am doing the latter, which will be better for my car, and then i will only worry about the flat stcok market, and how to direct my 401k - I may put 20% into Euro equities, to get some short-term returns on the wallowing oil prices. When they start to decline just before the election (part of the Bush "surprise"), I will sell short.
