uh... I just killed a Deer...

So... I'm a little pissed right now (aka murderer according to my roommate). I was driving home from my friends house and about 1/2 mile away from home when I saw 3 deer in the middle of the road.

All three dashed to the left of me... but the sad part is that I didn't see the fourth deer on the far right.. that dashed directly in front of my car.

I am going to post pic's later... honestly I hate deer's at this point. *uck bambi b/c this is going to cost me.

The damage right now is to my right front quarter panel, right headlight, and slightly to my hood. *uck BAMBI!

Could anyone probably estimate the cost of the repairs... even though I don't have pic's right now....

wow.. I don't like the looks of the cost of repair.. .

Yes I know my car is not very clean right now. I went to a hotel party last night and they had the sprinklers on and I haven't had time to wash it yet . Maybe that's karma. *tear.

do a little upgrading if you are going to replace stuff

get the 07 bumper and if you need to replace the headlight .. you could always replace them with 07 headlights

and then sell your stocks to someone who wants the projectors for a retrofit

sorry to hear about the accident

Definitely going to cost a pretty penny

Partstrain.com way better price on the fender

(As for the headlights and bumper get the 07 type s from the site mentioned above)

If you need a hood get a carbon fiber hood from sickcar.com under $600 shipped

The fenders are all the same.... the bumper changed ever so slightly to accomodate the foglights in the bottom... the 07/08 headlights changed slightly as well... on the 04to06 where ur fog lights where the 07/08 have daytime runnin lights...

I would suggest you see if the hood can be straightened first rather then go ahead and purchase a new one... the headlights 07/08 are rather pricey... and honestly upon closer examination your headlight might still be good.. It just looks pushed in don't believe the bracket has been broken off... your bumper doesn't look bad either... and the fender... well it took the brunt of the impact so you will definitely need a new one... again partstrain.com should have a decent price on it... ebay definitly will have a good price as well...

Oh gosh you're lucky it wasn't worse! I've seen deer before in front of me, those things are horrible. I scared it off though with the xenon lights and it ran back in the bushes. I was thinking geez if you blow your horn at them, would they still just stand there?

Sorry about your car. I almost hit one the other night too. But, I slowed down after I saw the first couple. Sure enough another one decided to run across the road.

I see these posts all the time asking about repair costs. Unless you are worried about the deductable (say if you had a 1000 deductable) who cares what it costs? You have a new car and insurance. You will pay the deducatable and they will pay the rest.

When they stand in the road staring at headlights coming at them there's only one thought going through their minds. "Damn . . . . Hope those are two Kawasaki's"

Well said. Why fret, assuming you are carrying comprehensive coverage.

I ask that same question more and more these days as I browse this forum.

It's bad enough we've become the fattest nation on earth, we don't need to show the rest of the world we're becoming the stupidest nation as well. The rest of the world now looks down on and is laughing at Americans like never before.

Did you clean it?? Seriously, did you call the State Troopers or Highway patrol, they will normally take the deer to a butcher so the meat can be cleaned and sent to a food shelter.

Just called insurance company... only going to cost me about $500 out of my pocket (deductible). And the lady told me that my premium SHOULDN'T go up. (*fingers crossed).

It was funny b/c, while I was taking those pictures a car stopped and the guy started yelling... "Fresh DinnA!" about ten times.. then drove off. This is all four in the morning mind ya'll.

lol.. you guys are too much.. hehe

nope.... Just the bumper/center grill and the fog lights that goes with it

Did you take that deer home and try to sell the parts? or at least make a trophy? IMO a deer killed by a TL is the same as killed by the hunting riffle this way, it won't feel like a total lose

Really?

I hit a deer in my wife's Pilot on the way home from a church function one night around 9 pm. Was going 60 on a new unlit 4-lane when I saw him in my peripheral vision. I stomped on the brakes so hard the car started to pull to the right even with ABS. I hit him with the right front fender and he went flying into the woods. I must've slowed down quite a bit, but it went so fast I've really got no idea. I drove to the next lit area and looked at the car ... not even a scratch. I think he actually hit the headlight (which are monstrous on the Pilot). I then drove home and examined it again in disbelief...
