uggghhh 6mt tranny fluid change, why won't the fill bolt loosen?
is it the 3/8 golden plug right on the top? Freaking thing won't loosen, any tips? I drove the car then let it sit for 3 hours, has it contracted too much?

in one of my previous posts i noted the difficulty involved in removing this bolt. The bolt has a blue mark on it. Use your 3/8 wrachet, extensions, and see if you can find a pipe to place over the wrachet to use as a breaker bar...
..
.Then pray to baby jesus to give you the strength and use all your might. It'll feel like you broke the bolt once it comes loose.
....
dont worry it wont be broken.

A long breaker bar will make your life easier.

This is where good tools prove their worth, and cheap one's possibly break.
I use a 1/2" drive extension w/ adapter and 3/8 swivel. On the 1/2 drive extension I use a long breaker bar and cheater pipe. Then, it breaks loose easily.

haha, thx guys, yeah my tools are were like 19.99 for a 60 pc set. Put some ass into was correct, I didn't really want to because I felt I'd snap the tool or strip the plug. When I finally said fk it and when it snapped loose it made a big ass sound I thought I broke my rachet.

is there any harm in slightly overfilling it? I put in 2.25 quarts (I think it takes 2.3) but that's if it's drained completely right? I don't think it's a prob, past honda manuals the fill bolt was on the side (that was the checkpoint, just fill it to that point till it overflows).

You're okay... as long as it's a slight drip over the fill torque it down and call it a day.

that bolt was a son of a B*tch to get out. I had to put 1ft extension to get at it. Then had a breaker bar on top of that. Soo After 400 lbs of human weight. That stupid bolt came out.
