Hey all, not sure if its a problem or thats the way the car is.

My car:
2005 TL 6-spd
19" TSW Mondello Rims 235/35 19 tires
Eibach Pro-Kit Springs

I was wondering if its normal to make a U-Turn onto a 3 lane street with only about 3-4 feet space from the car and the outside curb?

On a two lane street, i can't even make it and would have to do a 3-point turn.

Its full wheel lock to the left with 1.25 turns and about a little over 1.5 turns on the right. Am i missing something here or is this normal?

Thanks for the info.

The TL's dont have a good turning radius. Its mostly normal, it maybe will be affected b/c of bigger tires, and a suspension kit, if not installed properly?

This is why I like a RWD car. It doesn't matter what the turning radius is, just give it a little gas and you can u-turn onto a 1 lane road.

The TL turning radius is much worse than an huge S-class Mercedes.

hehe

Can't remember a car I was either in or drove recently, but its turning radius was even worse than the TL's. It was a Maxima or other....

Dude, I admit that TL has a poor turning radius, but no matter how poor it is, it's just practice, knowing how much angle you'll have to apply and when to floored the gas, I have never had a problem making U-Turns... maybe a couple when I just started with my TL-S, learning the angles, but that's it...

I've drove other cars that had even worst turning radius than TL....

TL Turn Radius in close to 40' - pretty big, even for a FWD car.

BUT, the quoted bit above is NOT right. Lock-to-Lock should be the same both left and right.
