Typical Civic

Last night at like 11 or so coming from Baltimore City, there was some sweet Civic hatch with retrofit HID's (WOOT!!) weaving in and out of traffic. Eventually it hits some heavier traffic and ends up next to me. I power down the window to see if it's turbo'd. But alas, it isn't. So then he darts to the right and begins to tail this random 2nd gen TL, like 70mph bumper to bumper. I'm like wtf mate? Who does that? The TL is probably annoyed at this point and just takes off like a bat out of hell at which point the Civic accelerates too. He's all like buuurrr, bummp, boom, burrrrr, nick nick nick, burr, cha ching, burrr. The are weaving in and out of traffic for a few seconds. I accelerate just a bit, just enough to keep them in sight, because I want to see the crash that will ultimately take place. Well, I guess the Civic can't keep up with the TL and backs off. They were probably going about 120... Well, then we get up to the Civic, which is now lined up street racer style with some older RX7 (maybe a 240 w/ a body it) or something like at which point I speed ahead to get out of this ensuing race because I value my life. This just exemplifies the stupidity and stereotype that Civic owners have garnered. I have nothing against Civics, it’s just that every occurrence I’ve had with one, I’ve either witnessed something stupid, something falling off the car, or something excessively loud and obnoxious. /end rant.

dont underestimate all civics ive had some non turbo ones give me a run for my money. espicially if they have a swap like a GSR motor or a H22 (not sure if this fits civic but its a direct fit for an accord)

So now its time to get the TL movin. The J32 motor has alot of potential and can be a fairly quick family sedan. If you made your civic a 12 sec car, im sure you have the knowledge and money to get the TL into at least a 13 sec car.

Same here, I was coming home from Philadelphia with my wife last night, we had this civic tailgating us in the one lane road. While already doing 50 on 45, I was pretty irritated him following so close. We came to a light and I made a right turn into another one lane road, there were no cars on the road, so I decided to punch it.... about few hundred yards later I see my street coming up so I proceed to make a right turn, this is when the civic finally catches up and decided to put his car in "N" and did a farting rev on me. I laughed as I made a turn.............. some people are just ridiculous.

For the record, I'm not hating on Civics at all. It's the stereotypical "ricer" Civic owners that give a bad rap to the owners who do indeed make some cheap speed. I've seen plenty of good looking Civics, that aren't even that fast, but they look very clean.

Owning your own house > Modding a car, so its all good.
