type-s xenon fogs?

I searched but couldn't find a DIY on this. I've been thinking about upgrading my fogs to xenons and not sure what I might be up against here. What kinda bulbs should I get? Will 5000k match the factory headlight bulbs? I did read that some people had to replace the stock wiring harness, what does this involve and is it necessary? Anything else I should know before I tackle this? Thanks in advance!

You need:

1. H8 HID kit with ballasts. Get the raptor kit from ddmtuning. 6000k will match factory bulbs.
2. Wired relay from ebay.

Hook those up and you're done.

might be a stupid question, but whats a wired relay? can you point me to one on ebay?

http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=133&parent=94

Is that what you're talking about?

I'm thinking that I will go with the 55w option, opinions?

Thanks.

55w will burn your fog harness. Get 35w only for the fogs.

And yes that's a relay. It wires the fogs directly to the battery so that you won't blow your fuses. It looks difficult to figure out, but trust me it isn't. I'm no electrician and I set mine up in about an hour, including taking on/off the front bumper.

Nope. I've got it and use it whenever my headlights are on. My housing is still as good as new.

I thought the stock output was 4300, not 6000k. In the beginning I had stock low beams with 6000k fogs, and they make the low beams look yellow.

+1 on DDM tuning Raptor kits, surprisingly good quality. I have 6000k from DDM in my fogs and they don't match. I had planned on changing to a lower temp but haven't got around to it....500k should be pretty close match I'm assuming.

The DDM kits, at least with our cars, are a rated a little too high. They're 8000k kit looks like 6000k.

After a few days of looking at the color diff I think 4000k would be a better match.
