Type s tail light question

Every1 is all the type S tail lights suppose to have the dark crome surrounding around the red? Cause my type-S tail lights that I ordered off acura of escondido came with the surrounding area black instead of a darkish crome. Are there two types of type s tail lights or is this a fake light?

fake lights... hmm, interesting. I personally would prefer black instead of dark chrome, but I think the stock typeS has dark chrome. I have dark chrome.....

I just have to laugh when I look at this picture. I mean, are you purposely putting red and black tail lights onto a red and black blanket, or was that a complete accident? Talk about confusing the eyes...sheesh!

Not a helpful picture (but funny as hell if that's what you were trying to do).

I think those would look alot better on my antracite than the red tail and side lights, where do you get them and what did they run?
Thanks

Well, the TypeS DOES have a new bumper, so perhaps it doesnt match up precisely on the 06 bumper. The only part of my light which sticks out at the bottom is the clear lens part, the black plastic underneath the clear lens is flush with the bumper.

those are black chrome. that "mettalic black" as you call it is the same black chrome on everyone else's type-S lights.

I installed my 07 tl-s taillamps this past weekend and experienced the same thing but only on the right side. I went through the process of lowering the bumper, removing the taillamp and readjusting the bottom mounting bracket. I noticed there was a little play on how the mounting bracket is screwed onto the lamp housing. It fixed it for me. Hope this helps!

Thank you guys for the reply. It's also the clear housing that doesn't seem flush for me too. I will give it a try when the weather gets nicer. for now i'm just glad i managed to put everything back together. u pros out there make it seem like such an easy job and if it wasn't for the endless pages of instructions on the forums i would have been screwed for sure. THanks again!!
