Get the type s lenses off ebay and swap over your LED's. It's the cheapest method.

If paying $215 for OEM tails is too much for you, you can also get the aftermarket/DEPO tails for 100 bucks cheaper.

I literally just did the same thing to my 06. The only thing that you need to do is take the wiring out of your tail light and switch it to the new one thats it. But remember when taking off the tail lights that underneath the light there are 2 bolts that you have to get that are under each light. You dont have to take the whole bumper off either. Their are 2 caps on the edge of where your trunk closes pop them out and un bolt them. After that just push down and out on your bumper cover and that will give you enough access to get the bolts lose and it will also save you a lot of time. Hope that helps.

They are a direct fit and you would just have to switch the led boards. I have the Type S tails on my base 05 .

Pain in the ass to install. I had to take both of the back wheels off to get to those screws in the wheel well and then the bumper.
