I'd double check on that. Because the offer for the 2k cash back is for the dealer. Like it's not on acura's website.
The financing deal is with you. I wonder what happens if you tell them fine I'll take 4% through my CU then....

You can get 4% through your CU? The CU I used to belong to says as low as 4.75% for 60 months...I applied yesterday so hopefully I can rejoin and get approved ASAP.

They might rather have any financing rather then none...

Do you not have a big credit history?

Well I got the 2.9% and take delivery Tuesday. Not as good as the cash back price obviously, but below "invoice" and the TMV that edmunds lists. Saves a few bucks a month when compared to the cash.
I can't wait! WDP crew here I come!

I got mine yesterday for 33.8K before TTL and I used BofA financing for 5 years at 4.69%. If I wanted to use 2.9% deal, I would have to pay higher price (no cash back) so my payment would have been higher. Especially since Fed is cutting interest rates every month nowadays, it will be easier to refinance at lower rate so I would recommend having lower principal balance.

I wanted to get silver at the beginning to match my MDX but after I saw it, I didn't like it with stock rims. They had CBP sitting next to it and I really liked that color so I got that. I had two black cars before and I cannot handle another to keep it clean long enough ;-)

I went to the dealer and test drove 08 tl-s (btw i'm in nY). They first offered 39K. I was thinking to myself (are they fucking BullSh*ting?) Then 38K, Then 36k, 35k, 34K and later the final offer they gave me was $33,800. I knew it was a good offer but I told them that i wanted to check out the other dealers and see if they can do better. Not sure if that was a smart move becaues that was the best price offer i've gotten so far. When i called up the other dealers in the tristate, they said they can do better by slightly, guessing 33,500? Who knows. So am i getting a good deal? should i continue searching for better price? Also when they give a price, does that include destination charge?

I purchased mine for 34,300 and thought I was getting a great deal, then they told me that DID NOT include destination charge, so I walked out the door at 34,900, but that was in UT and we only have 2 dealers with limited inventory, so I'm sure that you can get under 34 including destination.

I just got serious about looking for an 08. I have a 96 vette I need to unload and my DD(04) Taco. My pickup is killing me on gas and I've been admiring the TL's for a few years. Looking back, I'd wished I purchased a TL in 04 then my truck.

08 TL Type S A-Spec
COME ON!!! Don't you know by now that all of us 08 Type S guys got their cars for like $30,000??!! I actually paid $27,000 + TTL.........cause the dealer accidentally thought it was a TSX!!! (The stories go on and on and on and on) OMG. WTF.
Sheeeeeesh. Let's get serious people.
The INVOICE IS $35,832 on an 08 Type S.
The HOLD BACK (which you may/may not get into) is roughly 3% of THE MSRP.
Factory to Dealer CASH $$$$ is running $2,000 on a PURCHASE (not a lease)
WHY OH WHY.........would a dealer GIVE AWAY A $38,940 car for $33,000 OTD?????
Get serious. We all know that is BS BS BS BS BS BS BS BS. Maybe $33,832 + TTL.
IF YOU CAN GET THE DEALER UNDER/AT $35,832 (B4 cash back)........you are doing GREAT.
