Type S Cluster swap?

I have a base 2008 TL and I really like the red cluster of the TL-S. I have someone who wants the blue cluster because they dislike the red. I was wondering is it possible to swap the clusters and how can it be done?

Where is the mileage stored?

It should be a relatively simple swap obviously make sure it comes from another auto TL-S and not a 6spd manual since there are differences. Only thing is I would personally convert a few others things as well so it matches. For example, the footwell ambient lights as well as over ambient lights are blue in the base model and possibly a couple other minor things here and there. The good thing is the center stack button lights are white so that you would be able to get away with (where as Type S are all red), and the base has the white lighting on the top info panel.

If you simply swap in a Type S cluster with no other work you will have red outlines on your cluster, but have blue footwell and over headlighting with white center stack lighting and steering controls.

As far as where the mile is stored im not sure if I had to guess I would say within the cluster itself (which is not what you wanted to hear unfortunately)
