Two O4 Tl W/a Spec Love Em!!! Read This!!

I BOUGHT LAST WEEEK TWO TL'S ONE BEING A 6MT/NAV WITH A-SPEC AND NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, LOVE THE CAR PERFORMS GREAT.

MY AUTOMATIC CAR HAS A FUNNY VIBRATION IN THE DRIVE TRAIN, WODERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS ISSUE, SEEN PREVIOUS POSTS FOR TIRE VIBRATION WHICH I HAVE ON BOTH CARS BUT GOES AWAY AFTER 10 MIN O DRIVING BUT THE AUTOMATIC CAR SEEMS TO STILL HAVE SLIGHT VIBRATION WHEN AROUND 50-70 MPH RANGE AND SEEMS TO BE IN THE TRANSMISSION....

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECITED...

BTW THE A-SPEC PACKAGE IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY, IT IS UNDER FULL WARRANTY BY ACURA AND IT MAKES THE CAR OUTSTANDING LOOKING WITH THE KIT, I OPTED FOR LIP SPOILERS ON BOTH AS THE KIDS THE BEEF UP THE HONDA MARKET TEND TO USE BIG WINGS AND I DID NOT WANT TO TAKE AWAY FOR THE BODY LINES OF THE CAR.....

I WILL POST PICS WHEN I CAN OF BOTH CARS.....

THANKS IF ANYONE HAS ANY ?'S TO THE A SPEC CARS I CAN TRY TO ANSWER THEM AS BEST I CAN BECUSE I COULD NOT FIND ANY INFORMATION CONCERNING THE A SPEC CARS WHEN I BOUGHT MINE, THANKS:o

your list of cars in your sig sounds cool, but can you actually give me one good reason why you have 5 cars? and two TL's?

Uh, building up a different car for each day collection? Have you checked to verify the car doesn't have the EL42 problem?

tl issues

i got the two tl's one for me and one for my partner

we leased the mb's and was looking for a good car to drive to keep miles of the others, svt just sits in the garage, we looked at all cars around 35-45k and found the tl the best and after having them and seeing how they perform outside of a 20 min test drive i have to say i am impressed, very nice cars to drive and fun too!!

waiting for the superchargers to come out and going to hopefully put them on them, we got 6 spd and at becasue why get two of the identical cars, we switch every few days or so becasue i get tired of shifting and so does he.....

If they are both A-specs then they would have the 18" Yoko's.

the el 42 problem that you speak of is the tires issue? if so the a-spec cars have yokohama tires so that can be ruled out, my cars sit alot and i don't have issues with flat spots in the tires on them cars.....

Good point, but something to check out just in case the tires aren't balanced right, have you asked the dealer to rebalance them?

tl issues

i plan to do that in the next fewd days, i will tell everyone that the a-spec cars when i bought them they tld me that they did not need to be aligned, after the car drove like junk for three days they decided to change the literature to add the alignment to the package as they wanted to charge me for it, they did both cars and now they drive straight and true, big difference, when you lowwer a car at all the car should be aligned to keep everything true.....just food for thought to anyone who might go the a-spec way

ps the steering wheel that you get is great, it is much thicker then the factory one and has neat blue stitching in it.....

i know how and did use the search feature, BTW why do you have to be so smart on this board, i am just trying to help and hopefully find someone who might have had the same issue or issues that i am having, BTW most of the posts are to do with the tire issue, i did not see any addressing what might possibly be a transmission issue, i think the problem is deaper then the tires, i guess we will see when they hopefully come out with a TSB on the issue......i don't think Acura is going to be replacing thousands of tires on these cars

If I had these:
04 MB E55 AMG SIL/BLK
04 MB SL55 AMG SIL/BLK

Why would I waste money on a TL?

Sorry 2 TLs?

tl issues

1) the tl is fun to drive and very sharp

2) THE STEREO JAMS, the sl 55 has the bose nice but not as clean and good sounding as the els system...

the e55 has the harmon-kardon system, very clean sound but unfortunatley not enough volume, you can't beat the stereo in these cars and it makes a great car greater when you drive home for an hour or so, plus the mileage on my mb cars is getting out of control already have 5k miles on the e55 and had it three months, the sl just turned 500 miles and did not want it to get high either, so what you can be assured is that i person who has two of probably the best or at least top 10 cars made enjoys these cars just as well, that has to say a lot for Acura beleive me when i say i never thought i would own one let alone two acuras, they have cre4ated a great car and i am very proud to own them, i looked at lexus and all other top conteneders and found nothing that i liked as much as the tl, i am also in the car business and enjoy cars very much.....

Your logic alarms me. If you have two fine driver's like the E55 and SL55, why would you mess with supercharging the TL? It seems like if you bought these for daily drivers and got the urge for performance you would just opt for one of the Mercedes on that day. I really don't mean to be rude, but...

Your story seems kind of tall, and that, coupled with your writing skill...

I'm calling BS.

tl issues

rest assured i have the cars, i have better things to do then type all day to brush up on my typing skills, sorry for the typing, i have nothing to prove to anyone, i will post pics when i get time, did not think my signature of my cars would be an issue, just thought that you all might enjoy seeing a guy that has all these cars to drive enjoys his tl, i will remove them if you wish......if you want to get technical here are all the cars i have had in the last few years.

92 lamborghini diablo white
91 sl500 white
95 ferrari f355 spyder 6spd yellow
00 ferrari modena f1 red
02 porsche 996 tt with 600 hp yellow
91 porsche 911 turbo stock white
99 porsche 4 cab 6spd silver

what can i say i am a car nut, the reason for supercharging the tl would be i think cool to runs with some very fast cars and have the luxury also and not cost 100,000's of dollars.....think with charger tthe car should be a low 13 maybe high 12 second 1/4 mile car

I disagree. It adds 6-7k to the MSRP but doesn't do shit for resale. Duplicate parts.

Can you describe the handling changes that were observed when the A-Spec kit was installed. How is the ride, and noise while on the highway with the 18's?

Any info on the A-Spec is welcomed as the dealer hasn't a clue!!

Thanks in advance!

Sorry 2 TLs?
if i had those two cars i would love to have an Acura as my everyday car, it kills me right now driving to work in my TL. If you could have a TL as a beater car, good for you! its not that confusing and i dont think a waste either!
