Two Interior Mods Questions

Im wanting to do two thing on the interior of my car.

1) I want to "lower" my shift knob on my 5AT. I spend alot of time just sitting in my car with my job, and i hate always having to reach around/over my shift knob. Ive looked at it and it seems simple enough, i just want to make sure before i go modding. From what ive seen it looks as though i can just dremel some of the threading off the top of the actual shifter itself, and then place my knob back on and it will be lower correct?

2) I also want to remove the "warning airbag" stickers that are on the outside of the sun visors. Would using a hairdryer and a razor blade work for peeling it away from the fabric of the visor?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info. As i thought the shifter would be too easy, but it seems like the warning sticker will take a little bit of "luck" work.
