I decided to try my HID low beams as DRL instead of using some 9012 bulbs as DRL. I figure with the rated life of HID 2.5x longer in addition to Morimoto XB35 being cheaper, why not?

I just hooked an ignition wire to the ballast, and now the HID projectors are on as long as the car is on. It does seem to make a little extra noise when I actually go to turn the lights on though, but other than that everything works perfect.

 

Any pics of how it looks? Or is it just the HIDs turned on without the rest of the lights turned on?
