Turn Signals/Chrome Wheels

Does anyone of you know if the 04TL has amber rear trurn signals or are they red? Can't tell from brochure. Also would like to know if anyone has obtained chrome finish wheels for their new TL. If so, how much and where did you buy them. Thanks.

Looks like the lights are off in that photo so I can't tell. I was told that the lights are amber under a red lens. Can that be true?

Thanks, nfnsquared. Those wheels look nice. I wish I could just get factory chromed wheels from the dealer at $800. I'd be happy. Don't think that's an available option though! Then I would get rid of the Bridgestones and get Michelin Pilots A/S.

Sorry, it's not LED, probably bulb. Check owner manual.

Seems like amber but can't figure how it could be with a red lens. If sombody has a TL maybe they could go out and check with their eyes and we could settle this one.

I was behind another TL on the way to work one day and I can tell you with certainty the rear turn signals are RED.

I'm sure it's red outside, but not sure what color that bulb is.

The turn signal is red. When it blinks, the light is red. No amber there at all.

Thanks for checking everyone...that's a disappointment though. Seems like a step backward in safety. Amber is much easier to detect night or day. Red could be a brake light, etc.

The car was designed and built in the US. Its a US trend to have all red tail lights. Look at the "great American cars" Corvette, Impala etc, all red. Maybe for the 06 model year they will make tail lights with amber turn signals. Just like they did with the previous gen TL and CL. After a year or two they release a model with the amber tail lignts. Look at the pics of the A-SPEC concept. That looks like it was designed with Amber tails.

Well said. TL concept is RED as 04TL, A-Spec concept is AMBER-like style. It could be the next year's.
