Tuning

I have a type s auto. Mods are cai, 3.7 tb/im HFPC, ported runners, atlp j pipe. Would the car benefit from something like a k tuner to any significant degree. Or is stock ecu good enough.

Stock ECU is good enough, however the big difference with a tune is drivability. I have a similar mods list, and after my own research, I decided to pick up a hondata for my 08 base AT. Planning to use E Tunez to get everything dialed in for me.

Can I ask - did you have any trouble with the J37 throttle body? I've been having a hell of a time trying to get mine to work. At this point, I'm considering getting a p2r adapter and just running my stock TB with the J37 intake manifold. Thoughts?

Actually, I was mistaken. P2R does not make an adapter for a j32a3 tb on a j37 im, only a j32a2 tb. So, I guess I can either run my stock tb/im setup or troubleshoot the j37 tb/im. I'd rather get the bigger tb/im working, of course. Did you run into any CELs or anything with yours?

No cels. It should work fine. My mechanic did a throttle relearn though with his fancy scanner maybe that’s what you need to do. Also I had the p2r spacer for the j37 throttle body and felt I lost throttle response and ended up taking it off.
