Thks 4 the breakdown.

Unless, I am missing something... this is same loaner TSX that I have driven several times and is being fitted with a bigger/faster v6, tuned suspension, upgraded brakes and better wheels? A $35k sticker for the naked v6 model? This is even worst. Acura's got mega jokes!

For the price, I will buy an Accord coupe v6 before ever considering the TSX v6. Just my opinion.

Also the 95 Talon was built in the 1st half of 95 where they had a VC rear LSD. btw it was a 5spd manual, not sure if they came with autoz.

edit; lol i just get it, you meant LSD for the TSX
Yeah the mitsu engine 4g63 is great with mods, but that chassis sucked. If honda came out with a TSX with a turbo engine that pulled like that, I would get it in a heartbeat!

Lol ya the chassis on the talon/eclipse was bad... Soft and heavy not sure how they pulled that off...

As far as the tsx getting stiffer springs... No sh!t man it has 200 extra lbs in the nose.

And as for the price point comparaison 38k is what we should compare it to, since
most we are putting it against the 3G typeS. Granted these are msrp and the typeS was 38k too, so dollar for dollar the typeS is way ahead in my opinion. It looks better ( subjective) it's faster, it is quieter on the highway(compared to a I4 tsx not sure about v6 road noise) the suspension seems more in tune with the car, has rear seat vents. With all that the TSX can keep it's weather gps gizmo and USB stereo hookup and I'll keep my typeS.

So, i took a good friend of mine to Acura the other day, to help her buy a TSX

TSX I4... Awesome price, zippy car.. looks great... Engine Noise/Struggle = Fail (female buyer)

We ended up driving the TSX I4, V6, 4G FWD (and i have a 4G AWD). I used to own a 3.2L & 3.5L 3G, my gf has a 3.2L CL-S. and my x had a 1G TSX

In my opinion. the TSX I4 < TSX V6

It is NOT 3800lbs from what i understand.. but i believe about 3650lbs.. and only 200lbs heavier then the I4

The V6 was smoother, MUCH quieter, rode nicer, power was very linear... overall win in my opinion

My friend, who is trying to save $$, insisted that the V6 is superior, and she knows nothing about cars... she is willing to spend the extra $$ for the V6

It is, pretty much, the 3G Type-S EXACT replacement...

No kidding....my lease is up in 10 months and there literally is nothing I even want to look at. I hate the G35, the 3-series, and the Lexus.

I'll be buying my Type S instead.

tsx v6 really does seem like the exact replacement for our 3G type s but uglier and slightly slower. seriously 3g Type s doesn't seem outdated whatsoever.

I drove a TSX I4 loaner this week. It had electric steering. I could not feel the road like I can so well on my 3GTL. No feedback whatsoever on these newer cars, in my experience.

It is troubling to me that they're switching to this system. Maybe they will offer a "performance package" with traditional hydraulic steering someday. Cars shouldn't feel like video games.

I totally agree. Two years ago, I had a RDX w/tech pkg as a loaner. I was pleasantly suprised at how quick and responsive the luxo CUV was. At the time my thought was that Acura should create a TSX-S and drop in the RDX's engine.

i thnk they went the route of the V6 for the smoother power band, and quieter ride...

ive never driven an RDX yet (although, id like to)... but i would imagine that its engine is a bit noisy too under WOT?

My father claims that he was given an RDX as a loaner when he took his 2004 TSX in for servicing a month or so ago and that he didn't like it at all; said the engine was too noisy, seats uncomfortable, and I forget what else. I haven't driven one, but from the time I was looking at one at the dealership I recall thinking the seats felt pretty good. I imagine in his case it's more that he didn't like sitting up high in an SUV.

I got some driving time in the RDX when I worked at Acura. Absolutely hated it. Too much lag with that turbo. The suspension is not even the least bit foregiving going over bumps. I'll take an MDX over that vehicle any day.
