im doing yellow drl's with 6000k hids on the headlights...but im trying to decide if to do 3000k or 6000k on the bumper foggies...anyone have suggestions

I would say go with 6k to match headlights and foglights IMO, I got 8k head and foggies

8K is such a waste of light I say never go over 6K and even then you are losing quite a bit of visible light. The only thing that will help you see in the rain at those kelvin rating would be your 3K fogs/drl!

I just did this mod yesterday. Took me around 5 hours to wire, and cut the bumper. Its not as difficult as most might say but, its time consuming.

I went with 3k hids since i typically drive ALOT ( across states ) I figure this would help illuminate the road a bit better.

yea its seems like 3000k would be better for the rain and all that plus it seems lke everyone has the matching hids on the bumpers..i just want to be a lil different also.... does anyone kno where i can but the drl module online..cant seem to find a good online store that sounds legit

Might I suggest forgetting the DRL module which seems to go bad often and put a 3000K HID kit in there and just follow my DIY

thanks rogger but i really like the fog light conversion on the bumper..i already have them all i gotta do is put them on...the drl module is just for looks when i dont want the hids on...

Ya I'm doing the bumper fogs too as we speak what im saying is rewire the switch and throw a set of hids in the OEM foglight space and use them like DRLs. It will cost the same plus it will be more reliable then the DRL module not to mention you have more control over when they are on.

match them to whatever your headlights are..

ive had both 6k and now i have 8k

8000k looks hot but im prolly goin back to 6000k because of visibility and im attracting way too much attention from cops with the 8000k
