Trunk Tray with Navi??

I'm thinking about getting a trunk tray and I've seen pictures with the trunk tray but never with the the navi. It looks like it won't fit with the nav dvd in the trunk. Is there a different tray for TL’s with a nav? Anyone know?

Thanks for the help.

There is only one tray, and it fits both navi and non-navi. The tray has a cutout where the navi goes, so those without navi have an open space in that area. Works for me without navi and looks good.

the cutout for the navi leaves a space that I use for my voltage converter 12v-110AC so I can plug things from the trunk.

The navi will not function without the trunk tray as that's where the gyroscopes are placed.

Hmmm ...

BJ, you got me wondering - We all know that the TL Navi uses a "gyroscope" type of sensor for yaw (side-to-side movement) measurement so that the Navi can keep you on track when you are going through a tunnel or other structure that causes you to lose GPS satellite reception.

The thing I'm wondering is whether there is truly a spinning gyroscope in the Navi, or if there are commercially cheap laser or MEMS gyroscopes that are used in the TL Navi.

Laser & MEMS gyroscopes are extremely cool, and proof that dudes with theoretical physics degrees come up with the really cutting edge technology ...

The gyroscope is directly behind the LCD touchscreen. Take a sharp knife and cut a hole in the LCD and you'll see it. Sort of like that octagonal thingy in the Magic 8 Ball®.

I think they use solid state accelerometers. Gyros are now pretty much only Greek food.
