ive come across an idea that i don't think ive seen on the boards yet. i think all of u will admit with me that the trunk lighting in the 3G TL really sucks and you can barely see anything at night with the one lightbulb they give you in the trunk. i was thinking of taking out the light console and wiring in a 10 inch or 12 inch white neon bulb in its place.

or maybe these


and wire them to the wires that the bulb thing goes to, i am by all means not an electrical engineer and i do not know the first thing about wiring, but would something like this be easy? would i be able to cut the wires and just solder(sp?) the right wires back onto it and fine a nice snug place to put the neons?

i think this would be something we all can benefit from. any help would be greatly appreciated

 

i would assume you could, but im not sure if neons will draw too much current and fry the wires, but if theyre LED tubes, then you should be fine. just get add-a-tap(or whatever u call it) and wire it up.
