Has anyone noticed that the trunk lid is not even left and right to the rear fenders?

 

i have but i dont know if were talking about the same spot

im talking about the spot where the trunk meets with the fenders above the tailights

 

Yes that is the area. Near the rear of the car.

The right side of my trunk lid (where the "TL" emblem is stuck on) was protruding out more than my left side. I had the dealer fix it (they outsourced it to a body shop, which fixed it while they repainted my bumper.

 

I live in Toronto and I had 8000 km on my TL. When I pick up my car brand new, I had notice the "uneven" issue between left/right quarter rear panel. My stupid at Markham said it is normal. But I took it to an Acura dealer in Mississauga and they remove the hinge and realign them. After this repair, I even notice the force requires to close the trunk is much less and the "pop" sound when the trunk is open much quieter. The shop should the latch is misalign too.

Get it fix if I were you.

I am planning to go back and realign the left front quarter panel around the headlight area. There is a huge gap and it looks stupid.

PS. I have the front bumper painted too. The paint was coming off around the bumper meets quarter panel around the side marker.

 

my deck lid is indeed misalingned on the right side, also front bumper cover is misaligned on the center grill section next to right headlamp. I'm taken it to the dealer next week.
