Trunk Emblems '08 TL

I just bought an 08 Base/Nonnav TL. The "ACURA" script emblem and "TL" emblems were removed. The center "A" emblem is black, I'm not sure if it is painted or was purchased that way but it looks saweeet on the White Diamod Pearl paint. Does anyone know where I can get the "ACURA" and "TL" emblems in black?

try using your finger nail to scrape off the paint.
if its easily scratch-able, then the plasti-dipped was used.

plasti-dip is awesome because it can be easily removed.
if the A was plati-dipped then all you have to do is buy the ACURA and TL and plasti-dip them.

Butt, I would just leave off the ACURA and TL. it gives the trunk a much cleaner look

since its cold outside, you cant rely on the sun.

but if you have access to a hair dryer or a bucket of warm - hot water, you can def. heat up the glue and use fishing line to "saw" the emblems off.

^goof off works well to remove the residue left behind. might have to do a light polish afterwards to make the paint pop.

Everyone on here usually wants to REMOVE the "ACURA" and "TL" emblems off their cars. This is the first that i've read about someone asking about installing it back on the car. lol

Most young people like to take off the emblems. Looking at the Original Posters age; this gentleman wanted to bring back the classiness of the car.

butt, this is why we have acurazine.
We have shown him the light.
and the beautiful clean look of the trunk!

Happy modding!

Usually your fingernail will take off most of it. Then I use my DA buffer, microfiber pad and Optimum Hyper Compound to get the rest off.

It says you can't post pictures, but before my trial period was up I could. I use photobucket and host the pictures there. All you do is copy the IMG code below the picture on photobucket and then copy it into the box where you type your message on here. Works every time.

WD-40 removes the glue easily and doesn't hurt the paint.

yes. you're going to have to use lots and lots of elbow grease to remove the stubborn glue.

or if you have a polishing machine....

I have a polisher. Do you think I will see a non-faded area? Should I attempt or leave as is?
