Cool The True Value

This was on my mind today......

For the past 2 month of owning the TL and coming to this forum excessively, I felt that I should state my opinions on some of the topics that really got to me.

First is TL vs G35
second is TL vs Accord

and this will go on and on.........

I ask why? i mean, let me explain....does the performance aspect and "who has this and who has that" and "mine is faster and better build quality" etc etc etc.....do they make the car complete??? Is there any personal preference anymore???

.....because for me it really dosn't matter. It dosn't matter who is faster, who has better interior, who has better handling.....but all those little things should come together when you make the purchase.......

Me I fell in love with the look of the TL.
its strong, bulky and ready to go. It has class, luxury look, stern and serious.....it really struck me off as one of the most luxury looking car in its class.

The lines on the side of the car is unmatchable......no 4 door sedan i saw has better look and design.

The rear lights surprise you.....I never knew they looked so good until I drove behind my girl's TL. (which i quickly went in front of her to show her mine!!!)

No bodykit is so well made......it fits the TL perfectly.

SO......THIS IS WHY NO ONE CAN TELL ME ANY OTHER CAR IS BETTER......unless it looks just like a TL.

I am sure many other TLers think like me, and that is why I am writing this.

Does anyone else feel that the look of the TL pretty much sums up your reason to purchase???

Sums up mine to a "T". When I walked into the show room after seeing the commercials the first thought was, that's my next car. I had origianlly thought about the TSX until I saw them side by side and then drove them. The TL was a stand out in every way.

if it doesn't matter to you, then why do you care when people do comparisons?

yeah.....you are 100% right. It doesn't matter. But when I read so much of this comparason it kinda gets to you. And everyone was saying how good the interior this and that......but more importantly, no one ever mantioned the exterior of the car.... I mean thats what sold me you know.

People spend money on two things for their car.

exterior cosmetics and performance

well......hundreds of other things like ICE and all.....but as long as you get my point.

When I came out of the grocery store the other night I saw some car with Xenon headlights stopped behind my TL. I thought, "What the $%$ is this punk up to?" As I got closer I realized it was another TL. The dude gave me the thumbs up and drove off.

No that is what you are talkin' about. You can't truly appreciate how sweet this ride looks when you are in one. And then it happens... you are tooling down the freeway and happen to spot another TL. Then you play the came of slowing down, changing lanes, speeding up, so you can both check it out from all angles.

YES, SOMEONE FINALLY GETS IT! I BOUGHT THIS CAR BECAUSE IT LOOKS FRICKIN'S SWEET!!!!!!

hold on. I love my tl too. look at the 3 series. the groove is almost exactly the same. and the amg body kits KILL the tl kit. the tl kit looks added on. the amg kits do not. still the tl is my choice. and trust me I thought acura was nothing. I wanted an e 500. then I drove the tl. game over. drove an e 320 immediately afterwards for comparison [I know its not an e 500] and the tl won hands down.

wait. you said look at the 3-series and started talking about mercedes? and then you say that even though the AMG kit looks better the TL still won hands down? so the fact that a body kit didn't fit good is a determining factor in purchasing a car?

Though I agree with you that his post is a little confusing, after a second read I came out of it with a different take. What I got was that usually, his initial, impulsive response is to the look of the car. He feels that although a TL and a 3 have similar styling cues, the 3's body kit fits a lot better and looks much nicer than a TL's kit. However, he was originally in the market for for the AMG, and after test driving that vs. TL, he went with the TL.

uminchu-----yeah I agree.

When I see my car, it strikes me more and more appealing. I like simplicity in cars....and TL just comes through. I am gonna try to customize the grill....just thin the silver part, but other than that the car has a agressive look. I love 330, and they were one of my cars I originally wanted to purchase. But I can't get over how much money I saved and came through as a winner, no doubt
