Hey guys, I've got an idiot of a friend who will find anything to be my TL. He thinks that a Mini Clubman S, 6 spd. 07 328i coupe, and auto 04 330i can all beat me. Talks trash all day about it. I don't know how my car would fair with any of these to be honest, so what do you guys think? 
No racing will go on...I just want to know how I compare.

The Clubman S 6MT does low 15s
The 07 328 6MT does 14.6ish
The 04 330i 5AT does 14.8s.
I'd have to say the Clubman will be close and the others will probably walk away from you.

He himself drives an old Tacoma...he just finds random cars and tries to be "that guy who will find something wrong with your things" Tonight he threw in a 08 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro.

Lol...I do all the time. He is the biggest idiot ever. He calls his Tacoma a "sport truck" and claims the Clubman S is a German sports car. Also, I don't really care about racing, but I just wanted to know. Keep in mind these are all driven by people my age as well. I think I'd keep up with all of these, especially after I get my j-pipe...

Lol I defanetly disagree! You would walk all of them without any problems. Thats comming from expearience not 1/4 mile mag. racing.

IMO you should take the Clubman down no problem, 330i will probably walk away from you. Same power, but it's RWD so it will get quite a better launch. I think the 328 should be a close race, but you might edge out with your mods.

330-close, but your bolt ons should help if he is stock
328 he likely wins with the MT.
Hell, Mark has a bolted 2nd gen and is in the low 14's. Take em down to Motorplex and run them.

I think I will Peter. I think I would be able to take the 328i only because he is just learning manual, and won't have good shifts down. Although, as I said, all the kids in my school with these cars don't want to race, and I don't want to race. He is just some instigator. I'll get him to drive his dad's Clubman S and show him up...

Tell him to race you in his Tacoma. Then as you're pulling, let off, then get back on it. Do this until about 70mph then just keep it punched and pull 'til 85 ish or so. Then when he says "Dude I almost had you....." Smoke 'em

havent come across a mini but i beat 328i auto coupe and a 330ci manual before.
the 328i was easy and i only had just a intake and exhaust at that time.
the 330 was a lil harder because he was manual but i pulled on him slowly. when i raced that i had all the mods in my sig plus a passenger.
overall i think ud beat all those cars seeing that your car isnt stock either.

I think I would have a fair change against all of them. What do you think about the Audi 2.0T Quattro in 6MT? I have a friend who just got one, of course of I would beat him now, since he hasn't mastered it....but what if an average stick driver had it?
Also, he is trying to tell me that he is getting an air intake for it that gives it 73HP...I don't know why he would embarrass himself like that....

Anything offering more is going to be built as high priced part intended for race cars.

A stock 2.0T you can beat, especially if its quattro.

I've walked away from a 328i.
Pulled a car on a 330ci.
The Mini honestly should not be a problem.
I've never played with an A4, but I've beat a stock '09 GTI. They're similar as far the motor goes, right?

Those 2.0Ts can be torque beasts with a proper flash. An intake IMO won't change much as far as results

Fail. This kid is 16 years old. Get some seat time, my friend! Then the #'s dont exactly mean as much as before...lol. There is no substitution for experience and seat time. Trust me....you at 16...and me at 43 with the seat time I have....I could likely take you on course in a Miata...lol.
And take some advise from an old man....YOUR CAR IS ALWAYS SLOW! Keep repeating that to yourself till it becomes a pat response. (I will explain further)
The whole jist is to get under your skin...as already mentioned by somebody on here. Tell em its slow as balls and there isnt much more to say, is there? Oddly enough....then they will likely take the opposite tact and begin to try to tell you that your car is worthy. You dont assign worthiness to yourself or your car.....others do. When you do....they tend to want to debate that fact with you. Just tell em its slow as all get out....yep! Then when the time comes...lay the smack down.
No kidding...if you ever ask me if my car is fast....I would tell you nope....its slower than all get out! Wanna race? Do you see the preceived hint of confidence there? Thats about 90% of the brain game racers will try to hit you with....dont admit JACK. Car's slow...yep! You are young....but its all about what makes YOU happy...not some other kid that is just smack talking with a Tacoma trying to rain on your parade. The faster you take that tact....the faster you are likely to gain the respect you seek! Dont uptalk your ride....let others do that for you. It means 500% more than you assigning that to yourself and trying to sell them on that fact.
