Transmission fluid which one to use
Hello every1 I have 68000 km roughly 48000 miles on my 05 TL and want to do the 3X3 transmission fluid change as I am draining all my liquids again this year.
Can any1 suggest what I should use for Tranny fluid. I have done the drain one's with oem Honda liquid.
I have heard about the redline but I rather hear from you experienced peoples opinion.
Thank you for all your opinions in advance

There is a pretty awesome search function on the forum! it has helped me loads!
I got advice to use Honda Z1 fluid as well as Amsoil and redline.
My local honda dealer can get me 12 quarts for $70 out the door so thats pretty good in my book!
And as far as the 3x3.....plenty of threads about it too! Search button is top right above first thread in the forum.

There are several very informative and detailed threads going right now. Search for my name or Inaccurate.
To summarize, don't waste your money on the stock Z1. Redline D4 and Redline racing along with Amsoil ATD and Mobil One are very good alternatives.
The reasons why are explained in detail in the other threads.

Amsoil is the shizznit. Noticed a different feel in my shift points immediately after my first drain / fill. I did all 3 in one day after driving for a few mins while going through all gears between drains / fills.

I use Redline D4. Shifts are quicker and more firm than Z1. Where you'll really notice the difference is cold weather shifting, especially up there in the Canadian winters. Down here in the states, when I ran Z1, cold weather shifts with Z1 sucked. Very long, sloppy, and slow. Not so with D4.
If money is tight, Redline might not be for you. It's about $10 a quart here in the US, and probably is higher in Canada.

I have mobil 1 syn ATF in mine. Definitely want to try redline or amsoil next time around when I swap out those switches.
