Transmission Filter locate help.

Transmission Filter locate help.

I have an 07 TL type S, i try to changing Transmission Filter but i couldn't find it anywhere under the air filter box after i took it out, i am just wonder if anyone could help me locate this. i have the pic

3.5 type S for 07 TL

iirc the trans filter is interally located INSIDE the trans...

Yeup, they are located inside the housing on the 07-08. The 04-06 are the ones that have the ability to change it out.

For the record, it would be more trouble than what it's worth to try and change it. If you're going to take out the tranny then open it up, you might as well be rebuilding it at that point.

Just stick to regular tranny fluid changes.

Just do the 3 transmission fluid switches and the fluid changes and you should be good

Is that really a picture of a 07-08 3.5 Type-S motor?

Why is there a transmission output flange on the rear? It looks like a 3.7 SH-AWD motor/trans to me..
