transmission

The weirdest thing happened to me Last night I had parked my car for a couple of hours After noticing That it wouldn't go into reverseUpon returning It wouldn't even start up I had to get a jump At 2 at 2:00 AM Once it got started it ran okay. This morning I checked The transmission fluid level And the color of the fluid I'm slightly low on fluid but the color is still red What possibly could be this Not going to be reversed

I'd be more concerned with the battery.

In regards to your low transmission fluid, have you noticed any leaks underneath the vehicle? It is very common for the fitting on the transmission cooler to start corroding and leaking (it happened to me).

In a recent thread here, another members transmission fitting completely broke off, leaking all his transmission fluid https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...riday-1005872/

My recommendation is to check if the fitting is corroding or leaking any fluid. Mine was leaking slowly and eventually grew bigger until I decided to install an external transmission cooler which will probably last longer than the car.

This is a really good call out.. but edited to add that the trans cooler on the 08 TL is actually the radiator. The older 04-06 TL's use a separate trans cooler, but the cooler lines on the 07-08 route through the bottom of of the radiator. As such if it is indeed leaking, you'll need to replace the radiator. I recommend DENSO or OEM depending on budget.

No leaks

No leaks but the new battery seems to be the answer. Installed it today and its running good as usual. The battery was over 4 yrs old
