how can i find out through vin #
if my trannsmission is part of the bad batch?
I heard they had some problems with some of the earlier trannys

 

gen2 1999-2003 had the worst probs- Gen3, 04 still bad and 05 finally getting better.....
On warranty replaced trans units- post 2/05 are supposed to have a better case and better oil passages (info based on gen2)

You may be subject to the external oil kit install or other recalls-power steering hoses etc
