Tranny fluid overflow posible?

I took my car for a tranny service to the dealer. They charged me $130
At the end i was talking to the tech he said he connected it to the bg flush to flush the tranny. I said it was ok and only not recomanded for RLs.

3 days later i see trans oil in my garage. i check the level and its over the max. I call and they told me to bring it in.
I will take it in on sat.
My question is is it bad if they over fill the tranny fluid?
That is what i am asumming they did.

Also acura called me and i to ask if i was happy about the service and i gave them a 3 out of 10. Does the dealer find out about the complains? Not that i care but just asking.

Thanks guys

Yes. Customer satisfication ratings get back to the dealer. Anything less than 10 refelcts poorly on the dealer - which, IMHO, is a dumb ass way to run a survey.

It probably won't hurt anything. Check for foam in the fluid on the dipstick while it's running. There probably won't be any. The oil had to come out somewhere. You can only hope it came out of the vent tube. If it were an axle seal, there's a small chance it could've damaged the seal.

Surprising the tech would use a big machine-- but we dont know exactly what he used

consult owner book for fluid level checking method--gen2 is drive 15 minutes then park and check--gen3 I dont know~

If the dealer damaged anything, they bought it!! up to a whole trans!!

Bad Surveys are Immediatly reported to the service MANAGER via Blackberry when anything less than perfect 10s-
less than 10 is a failing grade to corp and that results in less bonus checks~

Complete surveys are reviewed by corp, and returned to dealer for weekly meetings and review

You are supposed to be able to resolve any issue while at the dealer or with the manager, and only give 10s- according to corp system--
its the Japanese mentality that there is doing it right..... and everything else is bs

A job as simple as a trans fluid change shouldn't have any problems- or they let the kid who washes car do it and didnt know how to remove x qts means replace same amount!

when I gave bad marks on first survey- Service Manager called me on a Saturday to find out how to make me feel better,,,free $200 detail and oil change was offered as comp.

Hint when asking for `goodwill warranty` help on a trans failure (as example)- mention how you will give them perfect 10s for hooking you up

I gave an 8 / 10 once. They called me hours after I left. I only dropped the car to get detailed (free). I thought I gave a good rating.. lol.. Now if they would have provided back massages and frapps I may have given a 10.. or at least a bottle of goose in the freezer.

Well nobody called me yet. I will bring the car to the dealer tomorrow to check where the oil is coming from. Should i mention to them that i got called by acura and gave them a 3? I want to buy the warrenty for the car. They quoted me $1300 for two years maybe i can bring it down a few hundred.

dont expect the head tech to be there on a Sat--mostly oil changes come in on the weekend

You want someone besides the person who already effed it up to look at it,, and fix

sales dept has nothing to do with service quality
You can ASK the car sales manager about dropping warranty to a grand for Goodwill

If you gave acura your name on the survey- the dealer already knows its you that gave the 3,,
Have you called and spoken with the service manager about the overfill and leak?
Your first concern is getting the fluid level correct and the trans inspected, and it noted in the cars file that acura overfilled it...in case problem later

That is so retarded.. I'm not suprised though. Take a look at your P/S pump and look for a leak, check the reservoir and check your drive belt as well. Find a new dealership if you're still under warranty. The shop you're going to is bad news. Seems like they're hiring ex-Quick Lube rejects.

its not a cleaner--
you really need to be standing in front of the service MANAGER when things like this are being said!!!!
Often a rag gets left in the engine compartment....

it will hurt your tranny in the long term if you dont get it drain out to where it suppose to be. and the dealer really do care about your comment.
