the only thing that i am concern about is the tranny.... how will the new tranny hold up the power? cuz with the pervious tranny issue, i think it was just a joke, a $30K car with failure tranny one after another.... also, wat will be gear ratio like? 2 overdrive or starting to learn BMW with aggressive highway gearing

The 5 speed will probably have 2 overdrive settings, just like the old one. The 6 speed probably will too. With 270 hp and assuming the same gearing as the older Type S, I would say 0-60 mph in 6 seconds flat or so.
I find it amazing that they can bump up the HP by 10, use a built-in cold air intake, 11:1 compression ratio and IMPROVE the emissions from LEV (on the Type S) to ULEV-2. That is just crazy, but then again it is Honda, so they would be my first pick on who would be able to do that.
BMW often doesn't even HAVE an overdrive on their transmissions.
